  • Torah Hakedosha,

  • Halacha (traditional rabbinic law),

  • Sacred teachings of Rambam and the sages,

  • Mystic ritual of the Jewish Archaic,

  • And the modern vegan, animal rights and sustainability ethics

to intertwine themselves through one of the most ancient and holy ritual objects of the Jewish people.

Birthed in Ancestral Ceremony

Blessed with intention and tradition

Reviving and combining several rituals from the Jewish archaic that have fallen out of practice, KAVAKNOT tefillin straps are buried in wilderness for 70 hours while the Tefillin maker undergoes a fast. They are then unearthed amidst recitation of Bereshit and Tefilah and symbolically passed hand to hand, dor le dor, from oldest to the youngest of the next generation. Fruit, songs and dance celebrate the mitzvah of tefillin before they are tied to batim and sent to their next home.

While vegan Klaf is placed within Batim, each Tefillin box is blessed with the recipient’s specific intentions and Hebrew name, the 72 holy names and tefilot.

Tikkun Olam. Tzedakkah. Healing.

For every neshama on earth.

$18 of every Tefillin purchase and $1 of every Mezuzah Klaf purchase is donated to the tefillin recipients’ choice of charity or individual.

We are happy to help coordinate an anonymous donation to an individual if you are inspired to do so.
